Mocking Jay

Mocking Jay is a book where The USA doesn't exist and in its place, a nation run by a ruthless and evil capital called Panem. There are no 50 states in Panem, but instead 12 districts that's purpose is to serve the capital. This book starts off when the main Character, Katniss Everdeen gets abducted from an event called the Hunger Games and taken to the secret District 13. In District 13 Katniss is told that all the other districts are rebelling against the capitol that now they need her to fight the capitol. Also, there is the conflict of who Katniss will marry, her childhood friend Gale, or ally in The Hunger Games Peeta Malark. But to make the situation even worse, Peeta has been captured by the capitol to mentally destroy Katniss. Will Katniss join the rebellion, will Katniss choose who to marry, will Peeta ever come out alive, find out in the smashing third book in The Hunger Games series Mocking Jay,

Katniss Everdeen is a 17 year old girl who was raised in the mining district of Panem, District 12. She has a sister named Prim, a cat named Buttercup and a mother, and a father who died in result to an explosion inside the mine he worked in. Katniss's friends from District 12 are Gale Hawthorne, Peeta Malark, and the mayor of district 12's daughter Madge. In the Hunger Games, Katniss's trainer is a drunken man named Haymitch.
