The lost hero is a book about three kids and to a lesser extent a satyr. The book starts off with a kid named Jason waking up on a bus with amnesia, where he sees people next to him who claim friendship with him. After a battle with monsters they're whisked away to camp half-blood where they get sent on a quest to save Hera queen off the Greek gods. On their quest they have many other fun adventures this is great for an adventure loving reader.
Although no one knows really that much about him Jason's first sign of demigod power is his sudden ability to fly, and turns out to be a son of Zeus. Jason has a sister named Thalia and also has the ability to call down lightning from the sky. Although it drains power from him. Jason is a very cool kid and I think you will like reading about him, and his friends Piper and Leo.

Will, your blog post is great. I read the Lost Hero and I loved it. The sequal to the Lost Hero came out two days ago. I hope you like the rest of the book.
ReplyDeleteI clearly need to read these books - these are the series that are an off-shoot of the Percy Jackson books, right? Half Bloods? (aka demigods)
ReplyDeleteSo are all the characters as cool as Jason? I'm wondering what characters he hasn't used yet and how they might show up in the novels to come. Who is your favorite so far? and are there any girls in these books? I have to say that I really liked the Harry Potter books, but it did bug me that the girls often were sort of type cast (pretty, or brainiac, or evil witch). But then, when you are writing about gods and demigods, they are already type cast, so I suspect a author is safe from those kinds of accusations. After all, Hera IS going to be Hera.
Have fun reading these - and as Josh points out, there are new ones!
